I was 15 weeks yesterday and can't believe next week will mark 4 months. Especially after it felt like pulling teeth to get out of the first trimester. Now that I'm feeling better (despite a cold that I can't seem to kick), time seems to be passing a little more steadily.
Speaking of my cold, I actually googled "Can I hurt my baby by coughing". Yes, I really did. My abs hurt so bad from coughing I figured it must be jostling the baby around! But it turns out you can cough and sneeze all you want and the baby will be just fine. Google has been my best friend and my worst enemy during this pregnancy...
Luke has begun to talk to the baby and kiss my belly. It's really sweet. I feel like this is becoming a little more real for the both of us as my belly expands. A few people have noticed my belly (I see their staring eyes on it) and when I tell them I am pregnant they say something like, "I thought so but I didn't want to say anything in case you had just gained weight." I can't wait to be big enough where people know I'm pregnant and not just hitting the donuts hard! I am having to get really creative about what I can wear these days. It's time to clean out the closet and just put away those teeny shorts and bikinis that I won't be wearing anytime soon.
I'm looking forward to my doctor's appointment next Thursday. Can't wait to hear the sweet sound of our baby's heartbeat again : ) Hopefully, I won't have a panic attack this time!
"Keep me safe, O God, for in you I take refuge."
Psalm 16: 1
