Breast is best

All new moms know that breastfeeding is hard and at the same time completely magical. Once you and baby get the hang of it, it's the most rewarding experience. Well, after over 4 months of breastfeeding with a rocky start (low milk supply) little Camille is refusing to breastfeed. Needless to say, this has me panicked and really sad. Just when I was thinking, "We've got this down!" it all comes falling apart. I've racked my brain for reasons she could no longer want the boob: my diet, medications, teething, milk supply...I even took a pregnancy test (negative, whew!). But nothing adds up.

So, I've been pumping. I hate pumping. I've never been proficient at it and am no where near meeting her demand. So as my frozen milk supply dwindles, I'm getting more and more depressed about introducing formula. I'm meeting with my wonderful doula, Shelley, this afternoon to see if we can brainstorm some more. Right now, I'm just praying that she decides to nurse again. Here's hoping.
