Bean has sprouted!

First, this post is dedicated to my dear friend, Patricia, who told me the other day: "You need to update your blog more often!" Love ya, P!

I am constantly amazed that there is a little life growing inside of me. Nothing made it more real then my last ultrasound at 8 weeks. The baby went from looking like a little bean to a real life baby in just 2 weeks! The head is on the right, legs on the left, yolk sac underneath, and umbilical cord above. Isn't it such a cute little embryo?! Actually, I was officially 9 weeks yesterday which means this little one has graduated to a fetus : )

I still struggle from time to time with the fear of "What if", but have been actively putting my faith and trust in God. I went to a retreat for church and through a woman's story of the loss of her daughter at 41 weeks I realized that it's all in His hands and my worry does nothing for me or the baby. I feel such a peace now about this pregnancy and am so excited to reach my second trimester so I can share my joy with the world!
